You will need to follow these steps:
Think about a question (doesn't have to be a yes or no question) or can be a wish and concentrate on it.
After you feel you have it good in your mind, write down the first 3 cards that comes to your mind from a regular deck of playing cards. Keep your question or wish to yourself. If you write down the ace of spades i need to know if the ace is up right (point is facing upward) or up side down (point is facing downward).
